APIM Director General Holds Talks with Total Energies Managing Director

The Director General of the Agency for the Promotion of Investments in Mauritania (APIM), Ms. Aissata Lam, met, on Tuesday in Nouakchott, Mr. Alexandre Maillard, Managing Director of Total Energies, accompanied by the Head of the Public Relations and Sustainable Development Department, Mr. Abdellahi Hourmatallah.

Discussions mainly revolved around the assistance and support APIM could provide to the group. They also highlighted the major investment opportunities that renewable energies in Mauritania can offer.

A mission from a subsidiary of the French group Total, now Total Energies, will be on an exploratory mission next week and plans to meet, through APIM, the various public and private actors for possible partnerships.
