Mauritania Participates in 24th Session of OIC’s Commission on Human Rights

The 24th regular session of the Independent Commission on Human Rights of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) kicked off Sunday morning in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, under the theme: “The Right to Health: From an Islamic Perspective and a Human Rights Perspective”.

The session, in which Mauritania participates with a delegation including Ms. Fatimetou Mint Mohamed Ahid, Deputy Consul in Jeddah, and Sidi Mohamed Ould El Imam, Director of Human Rights at the Commissioner for Human Rights, Humanitarian Action and Relations with Civil Society, will examine issues related to interstate cooperation between member states in the field of promoting and protecting human rights, with a focus on the need to promote access to health as a fundamental human right.
