Mauritania participates in the ninth session of the Technical Committee specialized in women’s empowerment

The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Social Work, Childhood and Family, Mr. Hammoudi Cheikhna Ali, representing the Minister Safia N’Tehah, participated in the ninth session of the Technical Committee Specialized in Women’s Empowerment, hosted in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from 4 to 6 November.
Participants in the course discussed the Beijing + 30 Treaty review process, which provides for taking into account all aspects that will improve aspects of women’s lives.
In his speech on the occasion, the Secretary-General expressed pride in the efforts made by His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, since assuming the presidency of the African Union, aimed at strengthening cooperation among African countries and uniting their efforts for the stability, prosperity and security of the continent.
The Secretary-General stressed that our country highly appreciates the work of experts on the official declaration on the empowerment of women in Africa, as well as their reports on high-level presidential initiatives on positive stewardship in leadership to end the cycle of violence against women and girls.
