Bamako Forum Hails Mauritania’s Security Experience

General Marc Focaud, former commander of the operation Serval, hailed Mauritania’s security experience in a presentation at the Bamako Forum, which started yesterday in Nouakchott under the theme: “Stabilization and return to peace. Place and role of the military and security forces”.

In his intervention, the General said that Mauritania has done a great job in the field of peace and stabilization by rebuilding its security apparatus and making it an efficient tool on the ground. As a result, ‘’the situation in Mauritania has remained calm for several years, and this is, in fact, the result of policies and rational thinking’’, he added.
