Minister of Foreign Affairs holds Talks with Senegalese Counterpart

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug held talks Tuesday at his office with the Minister of African Integration and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Senegal Yassine Fall.

The talks, which took place on the sidelines of the thirteenth session of the Mauritanian-Senegalese Joint Committee for Cooperation, touched on the strong bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to promote them to the highest levels to serve the interests of the two brotherly peoples.

The meeting was attended by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad, H.E. Ambassador Bal Mohamed El Habib, Mauritania’s Ambassador to Senegal, H.E. Ahmed Ould Ahmedou, the Ambassador Director General of the Directorate General of Bilateral Cooperation, H.E. Mohamed El Hanchi El Kattab, and the Ambassador Director of Africa at the Directorate General of Bilateral Cooperation, H.E. Hamza Emalem. It was also attended on the Senegalese side by H.E. Birame M’bagnick Diagne, Ambassador of Senegal accredited to our country.
