President of Republic Returns to Nouakchott From Algiers

On 1 November, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani, the President of the Republic and Chairman of the African Union (AU), returned to Nouakchott from Algiers after taking part in the festivities marking the 70th anniversary of the Algerian National Liberation Revolution.

Upon his arrival at Nouakchott International Airport, the President of the Republic was welcomed by Mr. Mokhtar Ould Diay, the Prime Minister, Mr. Moulaye Ould Mohamed Laghdaf, the Minister-Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Abdallahi Ould Ethmane and Ms. Aissata Ba Yahya,  Minister Counsellors at the Presidency of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Cheikh Abdallah Ben Boya, the Minister of Justice, Mr. Hanana Ould Sidi, the Minister of Defense, Pensioners’ Affairs,  and Children of Martyrs, Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Ould Mohamed Lemine, the Minister of Interior, Promotion of Decentralization, and Local Development, the Deputy Director of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic, the Wali Mouçaid of West Nouakchott, and the President of the Regional Council of Nouakchott.

The President of the Republic was accompanied on this visit to Algeria by a large delegation comprising:

– Mr. Nani Ould Chrougha, the Minister in charge of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic.

– Mr.Sidi Mohamed Abdallahi, our country’s Ambassador to Algeria.

– Rear-Admiral Isselkou Cheikh El Wely, Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic.

– Mr.Sidi Mohamed Ould Sidi Jaafar, an Officer in Charge of Special Duties at the Presidency of the Republic.

– Ms. Aissata Daouda Diallo, an Advisor at the Presidency of the Republic.

– Mr. Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Ematt, an Advisor at the Presidency of the Republic.

– Mr. El Hassan Ould Ahmed, the Director General of State Protocol.
