The Mauritanian Delegation Participating in the Annual Meetings of the Bretton Woods Institutions holds Talks with the World Bank Vice President

The Mauritanian delegation participating in the annual meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) held a session of talks on Thursday evening in Washington, D.C. with the World Bank Vice President in charge of West and Central Africa, Mr. Ousmane Diagana, who was surrounded by the World Bank’s sectoral directors.
The two sides discussed the level of implementation of the portfolio of projects funded by the World Bank in our country, where they reviewed the challenges facing them and mechanisms to accelerate and improve the efficiency of their implementation.
During the same meeting, they also discussed ways to enhance and develop the World Bank’s accompaniment of development policies in Mauritania.
The delegation included the Minister of Economy and Finance, the Governor of the Central Bank, the Ambassador of our country in Washington, the Advisor to the President of the Republic, and a charge d’affaires at the Prime Ministry.
