The Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Sid Ahmed Ould Bouh, held discussions on Tuesday with the World Bank’s operations team in charge of Mauritania, on the sidelines of the annual meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), led by Ms. Kikyo Miwa, Country Director for Mauritania, Cape Verde Islands, Senegal, Guinea-Bissau and Gambia, in the presence of the Bank’s Resident Representative in our country, Mr. Ebou Diouf, and senior officials from the central and sectoral directors in charge of Mauritania, in addition to the team’s senior officials.
The discussions addressed various aspects of cooperation, including the status of the portfolio of projects funded by the World Bank in our country and ways to enhance, improve and accelerate their implementation by neutralizing the various obstacles and impediments to achieve this in order to boost our country’s development process.
