President of Republic Holds Phone Call with Palestinian Authority President

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, held a phone call, on Saturday evening, with the President of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbass.

During the call, the President of the Republic congratulated the president of the Palestinian Authority and Palestinian people on the occasion of Aid El-Fitr.

He also expressed to him the sympathy and solidarity of the Mauritanian people and its leaders with the Palestinian people in their legitimate fight for establishing a Palestinian state with Al Quds Al-sharif as its capital.

His Excellency the President of the Republic Reaffirmed to the president of the Palestinian Authority Mauritania’s constant and firm position on the Palestinian cause, which was clearly expressed by all components of the Mauritanian people.

His Excellency said that Mauritania is monitoring very closely and with deep concerns the evolution of events.

On his part, the President of the Palestinian Authority thanked the President of the Republic on his call and through him the Mauritanian people on their constant positions on the Palestinian cause.
