President of Republic Meets With Chinese Counterpart

On 3 September, in Beijing, China, His Excellency Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic and Chairman of the African Union, met with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

The two Heads of State discussed relations between our country and the People’s Republic of China, particularly China-Africa relations.

It is noteworthy that the President of the Republic arrived in Beijing today to participate in the 9th Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC 2024), which will be held from 4 to 6 September under the theme “Joining Hands to Advance Modernization and Build a High-Level China-Africa Community with a Shared Future”.
