Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Economy and Finance participate in the 9th Ministerial Meeting Prepared for the Africa-China Summit

The ninth ministerial meeting prepared for the summit of the Forum on Africa-China Cooperation, held from September 4-6, kicked off on Tuesday in the Chinese capital, Beijing, with the participation of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanian Abroad, Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, and Economy and Finance, Sid’ Ahmed Ould Bouh.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad delivered a speech on the occasion, in which he thanked the People’s Republic of China for its constant support with the countries of the continent in general and Mauritania in particular in the various development challenges it faces, highlighting China’s appreciated support in resolving the debt crisis in Africa and standing by the countries of the continent during the (Covid-19) pandemic.

During the meeting, the agenda of the summit, which will be held tomorrow at the level of heads of state and government, was adopted in the presence of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, as well as the adoption of the Beijing Declaration 2024 and the Beijing 2025-2027 Action Plan.

The Ministers were accompanied by a high-level delegation that included the Ambassador of our country to the African Union, HE.Khadija Mbarek Vall, the Economic Advisor to the Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Moustapha Ould Sid Mohamed, and the Director General of Finance and Economic Cooperation, Mohamed Salem Ould Nani.
