APIM Director General Meets with IOM Representatives

The Director General of the Agency for the Promotion of Investments in Mauritania, Ms. Aissata Lam, received, Thursday in Nouakchott, Ms. Shauna Cameron, project manager of the migration governance department at the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

The meeting was an opportunity for the two parties to review the means likely to facilitate the inclusion of the Mauritanian diaspora in the promotion of investments in Mauritania.

In this regard, the discussions focused on two key points, namely:

– The development of a project for integrating the diaspora into business creation procedures, through the Single Window, which will require support for staff training.
– The creation of a platform for channeling financial flows, hence the establishment of a project bank accessible to the diaspora.
