Prime Minister Mokhtar Ould Diay chaired, on Wednesday at the Prime Ministry’s premises, two ministerial meetings to coordinate and conduct government work.
The first meeting included the new ministers, while the second was devoted to the renewed members of the government.
The two meetings were devoted to providing the new members with reference documents for government work, as well as to studying mechanisms for implementing the recent directives of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, as well as reviewing the implications and repercussions of the new government structure and developing optimal mechanisms to embody it with the required speed and efficiency.
At the beginning of the two meetings, He explained the requirements for the practical implementation of the directives presented by His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, during his presidency of the ministerial meeting held on Tuesday, which represented determinants and priorities for government work.
His Excellency stressed the need for members of the government to demonstrate integrity, transparency and dedication to public service, stressing that corruption will not be tolerated, and there will be no leniency in combating it.
His Excellency stressed the need for government solidarity and teamwork, and the duty of political commitment of the members of the government team. He also stressed that belonging to the government team requires strict engagement in political choices and hard work to implement the government’s vision.
His Excellency stressed that granting ministers their full powers to carry out the tasks assigned to them under the mandate does not mean exempting them from their responsibilities in following up and holding their ministerial sectors accountable, as they are responsible for implementing government programs within their sectors in a transparent manner and away from suspicions of corruption, which requires them to hold accountable all those who are responsible within the ministerial sectors.

During the framing meeting, presentations were made on the mechanisms of government work and ways of coordination between various sectors.
During the two meetings, the Prime Minister also reviewed the implications and repercussions of the new government structure and its fulfillment of the requirements of efficiency and flow, valuing the values of solidarity and youth and supporting local development.
His Excellency reviewed the most appropriate regulatory mechanisms to embody the new structure.
During the meeting, the new members of the government were presented with reference documents related to the work of the government and documents related to the declaration of property were provided to all members of the government team.
