2024 Presidential Elections: Candidate Mamadou Bocar Ba Chairs Popular Rally in Mbagne

On 21 June, Mr. Mamadou Bocar Ba, the candidate for the 29 June 2024 presidential elections, chaired a popular rally organized by the coordination of his campaign in the Moughataa of MBagne, wilaya of Brakna, during which he presented his electoral program.

In a speech delivered for the occasion, the candidate reminded the audience that voting is a thoughtful act that must be protected against all forms of manipulation of conscience.

He added that he would put his experience to work on the resolution of the fundamental problems from which Mauritania suffers, including exclusion, cohabitation, confiscation of agricultural land, access to civil status, unemployment, and price control, stressing that the enormous potentialities of the country have been exploited by the various regimes without any benefit to the citizen.                                                                                                                                         In this context, he deplored the massive departures of young Mauritanians abroad, adding that this is irrefutable proof of the failure of the public policies adopted so far.

About the humanitarian issue, he pledged to establish an independent national investigation commission to bring justice to the victims.

He also spoke of the imperative to reform the education system, denouncing in this context the paradox characterizing senior officials in relation to their mistrust of the national education system.

For his part, the coordinator of the campaign in M’Bagne criticized the record of the action of the government in place, which suffers, according to him, from countless deficits in basic services, indicating that their candidate embodies the expected change.
