2024 Presidential elections: Candidate El Id Mohameden M’Bareck Chairs Electoral Meeting in Keur Macen
On 20 June, Mr. El Id Mohameden M’Bareck, the candidate for the 2024 presidential elections, chaired an electoral meeting in Keur Macene (Trarza) in which he explained the content of his electoral program.
The candidate affirmed that the population who attended the meeting was aware of their choice and expressed the bitter reality they were experiencing.
He indicated that the young people of Keur Macene suffer from exclusion, even in their wilaya, stressing that his electoral program guarantees young people change toward a better situation.
He criticized the current situation of Mauritanian youth, indicating that “youth migration is due to several factors including marginalization and unemployment.”
He added that the Moughataa of Keur Macene did not benefit from the paved road coming from the port of Nouakchott or other necessary basic services.
He also spoke of agricultural land granted to people outside the Moughataa while local populations did not benefit from it.
He called on young people to unite their ranks on election day and volunteer to monitor polling stations and fight what he called “fraud.”
He also called on voters in the Moughataa to ‘vote for him and therefore vote for the development and prosperity of the country.’
The candidate finally said that the Alliance of Salvation Forces, which supports him, brings together different generations and political actors and carries the project of Mauritanian coexistence.
