President of Republic Offers Condolences to Chadian People

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Mohamed Ould cheikh El Ghazouani, has offered his sincere condolences to the family of the late Idriss Deby Itno, as well as to the people and authorities of the sisterly Republic of Chad.

In a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad and of which a copy was sent to the Mauritanian news agency (AMI), His Excellency the President of the Republic saluted the memory of the deceased, who actively contributed to the efforts to establish stability and security in the Sahel region and across the African continent.

“Having learned with sadness the death of Marshal of Chad, President Idriss Deby itno, in tragic circumstances, the President of the Republic, His Excellency Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani offers his sincere condolences to the family of the deceased, as well as to the people and the authorities of the sisterly Republic of Chad.

His Excellency the President of the Republic salutes the memory of President Idriss Deby Itno who actively contributed to the efforts aimed at establishing stability and security in the Sahel region and across our African continent.

In these troubled circumstances, the Mauritanian Government and people remain more than ever attached to the partnership and cooperation between the States of the sub-region, particularly within the G-5 Sahel, to ensure the prevalence of peace, security, stability, and respect for constitutional order in our states.
