Candidate Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani presides over an election Night for the National Campaign of the Youth supporting him

The candidate for the 2024 presidential elections, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazwani, said that his program in the next term will focus on the integration, training and promotion of youth, where he will establish a body entrusted with all matters related to youth, and will be given full authority to do so and build bridges to communicate with youth at home and abroad to benefit from their energy in building the country and working to involve them in decision-making circles, declaring that he will wage a war on youth unemployment, declaring that he will wage a war on youth unemployment.

He added during a speech at an election night organized by the national youth campaign supporting him, last night in Nouakchott, that he will build many recreational facilities such as playgrounds and cinemas, in addition to organizing sports events, calling on young people to provide the ideal model by rejecting laziness and dependence, respecting the law, avoiding bribery and contributing to changing social deposits related to racism, sectarianism and tribalism, which are not in line with the concept of the state.

He emphasized that his choice of youth as the title of the next term did not come out of a vacuum, but came as a result of his conviction in the importance of youth, which was reinforced by the last term, from which he concluded that the country’s success and joining the ranks of developed countries depends on utilizing its youth energies, and if it cannot achieve this, it will not join the ranks.

The candidate said that the loss of any country is closely linked to the loss of its youth (lack of schooling, unemployment, lack of integration into public life, delinquency…), and therefore “winning the development bet remains dependent on our effectiveness in utilizing the energies of our youth,” reaffirming the need to care for, protect and integrate youth into working life at all levels.

He also stressed the need for young people to contribute to the implementation of his electoral program related to youth, as it cannot be achieved without their effort and participation, calling on them to vote for him on polling day and mobilize for him.

The election night witnessed a speech by the director of the youth campaign in which he stopped at the achievements made during the last term and those that will be achieved in the next term, especially in the social aspect, and the event witnessed various musical performances.
