Awareness Workshop on Freedom of Opinion and Expression and the Prohibition of Hatred Speech

On Tuesday 4 June In Nouakchott, the National Human Rights Committee organized an awareness workshop in partnership with the European Union on freedom of opinion and expression and the prohibition of hatred speech.

This workshop, organized for the benefit of civil society, aims to spread the culture of respect for human rights, prohibit hatred speech and provide a suitable atmosphere for the upcoming presidential elections.

The workshop was chaired by the Secretary-General of the National Human Rights Committee, Mr. Mohamed Ould Brahim, in the presence of a number of technicians and specialists in the field.
