A cooperation agreement was signed on 26 May in Algiers between the Mauritanian news agency (AMI) and the Algerian Press Agency (APS).
The agreement aims to strengthen cooperation and consolidate professional relations between the two agencies. Under this agreement, each of the two agencies offers the other the right to receive and use the information and everything related to it (photos, audio, video, graphics, and the Internet) issued by each of them.
The agreement emphasizes the need for coordination between the two agencies through consultation and exchange of views, experiences, and skills in the field of developing media vigilance.
The two parties agreed on the need to strengthen consultation and coordination within the framework of regional and international bodies and groups of press agencies of which they are members.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Moctar Malal Dia, the Director General of the Mauritanian news agency, and Mr. Semir Kayid, the Director General of the Algerian Press Agency.
