President of Republic Leaves for Geneva To Participate in World Health Assembly

On 26 May, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic and Chairman of the African Union (AU), left Nouakchott for Switzerland to participate in the 77th session of the World Health Assembly to be held in Geneva from 27 May to 1 June 2024.

His Excellency, the President of the Republic, was greeted upon his departure from Nouachott-Oumtounsi International Airport by the Prime Minister Mr. Mohamed Ould Bilal Messaoud, the two ministers counselors at the Presidency of the Republic, members of the government, the

chief of staff of the President of the Republic, the deputy director of cabinet of the President of the Republic, the wali of Nouakchott-West and the vice-president of the Nouakchott Region.

During this trip, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghzouani is accompanied by a large delegation including:

– Mr. Moctar Ould Diay, the Minister in charge of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic;

– Ms. Naha Mint Hamdi Ould Mouknass, the Minister of Health;

– Mr. Bal Mohamed El Habib, the Ambassador of Mauritania in Geneva;

– Mr. Sid’Ahmed Ould Bouh, an Advisor at the Presidency of the Republic;

– Mr. Cheikh Ould Bodde, an Advisor at the Presidency of the Republic;

– Mr. El Hacen Ould Ahmed, the Director General of State Protocol.
