Human Rights Commissioner Meets With UN Assistant Secretary General for Human Rights

On 24 May, in New York, Mr. Cheikh Ahmedou Ould Ahmed Salem Ould Sidi, the Commissioner for Human Rights, Humanitarian Action, and Relations with Civil Society, held talks with Ms. Ilze Brands Kehris, the UN  Assistant Secretary General for Human Rights.

The meeting provided an opportunity to review the significant progress made by Mauritania in promoting and protecting human rights in recent years and discuss areas of cooperation between Mauritania and the United Nations.
