President of Republic Returns to Nouakchott From N’Djamena

On 23 May, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani, the President of the Republic and Chairman of the African Union, returned to Nouakchott from the Chadian capital, N’Djamena, where he attended the swearing-in ceremony of the Chadian President-elect, Mr. Mohamed Idriss Deby Itno.

The President of the Republic was welcomed at the Nouakchott International Airport by the Prime Minister, Mr. Mohamed Ould Bilal Messaoud, the two Ministers Counselors at the Presidency of the Republic, several members of the Government, the Chief of Special Staff of the President of the Republic, the Deputy Director of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic, the Wali of Nouakchott West and the Vice President of the Nouakchott Region.

The President of the Republic was accompanied by a large delegation including:

– Mr. Mokhtar Ould Djay, the Minister in Charge of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic;

– Mr. Sidi Mohamed Ould Ghaber, n Officer in Charge of Special Duties at the Presidency of the Republic;

– Mr. Houssein Ould Naji, an Advisor at the Presidency of the Republic;

– Ms. Aïssata Daouda Diallo, an Advisor at the Presidency of the Republic;

– Mr. El Hassan Ould Ahmed, the Director General of State Protocol.
