President of Republic Receives Korean Ambassador’s Credentials

On 21 May, in Nouakchott, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, received the credentials of HE Mr. Yingan Yoon, in his capacity as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

After the credentials’ presentation, the President of the Republic granted the Korean diplomat an audience in the presence of Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad.

In a statement to the Mauritanian news agency following the meeting, the Korean ambassador said he was honored by this opportunity to serve his country in this beautiful country.

He added that he would do his best to deepen cooperation between the two countries, especially since His Excellency, the President of the Republic, will visit Korea on the occasion of the Korea-Africa Summit, to be held in Seoul next June.
