Minister of Transport Holds a Meeting with a Delegation from the Arab Contractors Company

The Minister of Equipment and Transport, Mr. Mohamed Ali Ould Sidi Mohamed, held a meeting on Monday in his office with a delegation from the Arab Contractors Company, which includes the Minister, member of the Board of Directors of the Arab Contractors, Ahmed Al-Jawish, General Manager of the HFC Finance Company, and Sayed Al-Husseini, Financial Director of the Arab Contractors, in order to discuss the progress of the implementation of the protocol for the construction of the Nouakchott train network (Tramway).
The Minister stressed the importance of this project and the need to work with the concerned departments in the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development to improve the financing conditions (interest rate, grace period and loan period) in order to reach the signing of a financing agreement for this project.
The meeting was attended by the Egyptian Ambassador in Nouakchott, the Technical Advisor in charge of Land Transport, the Technical Advisor in charge of Civil Aviation and the Director of Cooperation and Programming at the Ministry of Equipment and Transport.
