Participants in the 33rd session of the Regional Conference of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) at the African level, which concluded yesterday in Rabat, in the presence of the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Othmam Ould Babita Hamahoullah, called for the need for concerted efforts and collective cooperation in order to face the great challenges facing the African continent, especially those related to food security, environmental sustainability and rural development.
In the recommendations issued at the end of its work, the conference called for activating scientific exchange between African countries and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), and accelerating and stimulating agricultural systems in the continent.
The Conference decided that Mauritania will host the thirty-fourth session, which will be organized in 2026.
