President of Republic Receives Credentials of Libyan Ambassador

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, received Thursday morning, the credentials of His Excellency Mr. Moussa Abdel-Nebi Traboulssy, as the ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Libya to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

After the presentation of credentials, the President of the republic held a meeting with the Libyan diplomat in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, Mr. Ismael Ould Cheikh Ahmed.

After the meeting, the Libyan ambassador made the following statement to the Mauritanian News Agency:

“It was my honor to present my credentials as the ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Libya to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

During my mission in my second country, Mauritania, I will push for developing and strengthening the historic and deep-rooted relations between our countries. Libya has all respect and deep appreciation for Mauritania. We share many values, including Islam, authenticity, the Arabic Language, and other noble traits that characterize our peoples.

I think that the shared values will help me to boost our distinguished relations, in the benefit of our brotherly peoples ’’.

The credentials presentation ceremony was attended by the following personalities:

-Ismael Ould Cheikh Ahmed, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad
– Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed Lamine, Director of the President’s Cabinet
– Mohamed Lamine Ould Abey Ould Cheikh El Hadrami, Officer in Charge of Special Duties at the Presidency of the Republic
– El Hanchi Ould El Kettab, Director General of bilateral cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad
Oumar Mohamed Babou, Director of the Arab World and Acting Director of Europe Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad.
