President of Republic Affirms his bias by Nature and by Virtue of his Political Conviction Towards Vulnerable Groups

The President of the Republic, Mohamed Ould Cheikh EL Ghazouani, said that he is always concerned about the conditions and conditions of life of vulnerable and low-income groups, and is keen to use everything available to integrate them economically and socially, improve their living conditions, and enhance their access to basic services.

In his intervention during the iftar ceremony held Thursday evening at the hospitality pavilion of the presidential palace in Nouakchott, in honor of 126 people, representing the Taazur community, His Excellency added that this goal for him should be the first downstream of all public state policies and development programs.

He expressed his happiness with this meeting, assuring the attendees and through them to all citizens benefiting from Taazur programs in villages, countryside and cities, of his closeness and bias by nature in the first place, and by virtue of his firm political conviction, for vulnerable and low-income groups, appreciating their patience, patriotism, and noble efforts for a decent living.

He expressed his happiness with this meeting, assuring the attendees and through them to all citizens benefiting from t’azur programs in villages, countryside and cities, of his closeness and bias by nature in the first place, and by virtue of his firm political conviction, for vulnerable and low-income groups, appreciating their patience, patriotism, and noble efforts for a decent living.

“Reaping the fruits of public policies and structural reforms aimed at achieving development that includes all citizens requires time, while the pressures of daily life cannot be postponed, and therefore it was incumbent upon us, by virtue of our deep awareness of your situation and in implementation of our pledge, to build a diverse social safety net that works to alleviate your suffering and improve your resilience in the face of your pressing situations until public policies and structural reforms bear fruit, by changing everyone’s lives for the better,” the President said.

His Excellency added that he initiated the establishment of the General Delegation for Solidarity and Combating Exclusion “t’azur”, which launched many diverse support programs such as “Sheila”, “Takaful”, “Tadamon” and “Dari”… Through these programs, it has provided various forms of support through solidarity shops, cash transfers, access to real estate ownership, access to water and electricity services, financing of income-generating activities, etc.

He pointed out that more than one million and five hundred thousand people have benefited from these various forms of support, noting that this is an effort that thanks to the Delegation, although the beneficiaries deserve more.

The President of the Republic stressed that efforts will be doubled in the next stage, with the grace and strength of God, to expand and diversify all these services, to enhance the ability of vulnerable and low-income groups to withstand and prepare them for the conditions of a decent life, noting that this is what his conviction dictates and what his responsibilities oblige him to.
