Foreign Affairs Minister Delivers Message from President of Republic to Tunisian Counterpart

His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, Mr. Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, delivered, Friday, a written message from His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, to his brother, His Excellency President Kaïs Saïed, President of the brotherly Republic of Tunisia.

During the meeting, His Excellency President Kaïs Saïed praised the level of long-standing ties between the two countries, stressing the need to establish a new phase of bilateral relations that would enable the common aspirations of the two brotherly peoples to be fulfilled.

His Excellency instructed the Minister to convey his sincere greetings to his brother, His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, stressing his keenness to enhance consultation, coordination, and mutual support in regional and international forums.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Mr Othman Jerandi, and His Excellency Mr. Daman Hamer, our ambassador to the Republic of Tunisia.

His Excellency the Minister had participated, along with his Tunisian counterpart, in a meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, during which the two sides affirmed their satisfaction with the level of relations between the two brotherly countries and their permanent readiness to strengthen them at all levels. They also agreed to initiate close preparation for the next session of the joint Mauritanian-Tunisian Committee at the level of foreign ministers, and to intensify mutual visits at the highest levels.
