Minister of Higher Education Visits Private Higher Education Institutions

The Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Information and Communication Technologies, Dr. Sidi Ould Salem, visited, Thursday, some private higher education institutions in Nouakchott.

In this framework, he visited the Lebanese International University, the Modern University of Chinguitt, the Higher School of Computer Science (SUP Management) and the Higher Institute of the Academic Community.

At the end of the visit, Dr. Sidi Ould Salem made a statement to the Mauritanian news agency (AMI) in which he stressed that this visit allows the department to be better informed on the activities of private higher education institutions, to listen to their observations and suggestions, and to learn about the problems they are facing to find appropriate solutions.

He expressed his satisfaction with the scientific and academic level of the institutions visited and the level of investment they have made to improve and diversify their academic offer.

He pointed out that the respect of professional and academic standards by higher education establishments is a factor of their credibility as well as that of their diploma training, stressing that the ministry will continue to support them for the success of their mission.

Finally, the Minister thanked these institutions and their staff for keeping pace with the reform that the sector is undertaking in the field of higher education and scientific research.
