The Minister of Employment and Vocational Training, Zinebou bint H’mednah, received on Tuesday at her office in Nouakchott the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Mauritania, Mr. Mansour N’jai.
The meeting was an opportunity to review aspects of partnership between the Ministry and the United Nations Development Program in the field of employment, and to promote the integration of unemployed young graduates.
The meeting was also an opportunity to discuss ways to launch the national training program in the coming days, for the benefit of 1,500 beneficiaries in its first phase, and at the end of the program, 4,500 Mauritanians will be enrolled in the training.
Discussions also focused on cooperation in the areas of promoting women’s entrepreneurship, updating the microfinance strategy, formalizing the informal sector, as well as support in setting up business halls to incubate and monitor projects.
The meeting took place in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Ministry, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Boukhreiss, and a number of sector executives.
