Mauritania Reaffirms Support for National Competences Presence in Regional, International Bodies

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad has affirmed that it continues to work, within the framework of the vision of the President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani to support the appropriate presence of Mauritanian national competences in regional and international bodies and organizations to represent the country and serve human causes.

In a statement released Thursday, the Ministry congratulated the remarkable Mauritanian diplomat, Mr. Mohamed El Hacen Ould Lebatt for his appointment as director of the cabinet of the chairman of the commission of the African Union, paying tribute to his skills and his exceptional work in this continental organization.

The statement reads as follows:

“The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Mr. Moussa Faki Mahama, announced today the appointment of the remarkable Mauritanian diplomat and former minister, Mohamed El Hacen Ould Lebatt as director of cabinet of the president of the AU commission.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad seizes this opportunity to congratulate Mr. Mohamed El Hacen for this confidence and to pay tribute to his skills and his exceptional work in this continental organization.

The ministry takes the same opportunity to reaffirm its commitment to continue its sustained action, within the framework of the vision of the President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, to support the appropriate presence of Mauritanian national competences in the regional and international organizations to represent our country and serve the human causes”.
