Minister of Economic Affairs Meets With France General Director of Business
The Minister of Economic Affairs and the Promotion of Productive Sectors, Ousmane Mamoudou Kane, held a meeting on Tuesday morning 23 March in Paris with Mr. Christophe Lecourtier, Director General of Business France, French agency responsible for directing and supporting French investors abroad.
The two parties reviewed the means to promote and develop cooperation between Mauritania and the Agency as a French government body responsible for accompanying and supporting French companies and investors abroad.
The two parties agreed to grant technical support from the French agency to the recently created Mauritanian Investment Promotion Agency.
French investors will organize a working visit to Mauritania. It will be an opportunity to make presentations on the advantages and investment opportunities in Mauritania, particularly in the fields of agriculture, livestock and fisheries.
During his visit, the minister is due to meet several French officials to discuss strengthening economic cooperation between Mauritania and France.
