President of Republic Arrives in Tiguint To Kick Off Important Electrical Projects

On 22 December, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, arrived in Tiguint, the second stage of his visit program to the wilaya of Trarza. On the spot, His Excellency will supervise the inauguration and laying of the first stone of gigantic development projects in the field of electrical energy.
These projects will allow thousands of families in this Moughataa to access electrical energy and strengthen the electrical interconnection between the country’s cities and those of the neighboring Republic of Senegal.
The President of the Republic, who was accompanied by the Wali of Trarza Mr. Mohamed Ould Ahmed Mouloud, was welcomed at the plane’s bridge by Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh, the President of the Trarza Region, Mr. Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Mohamed Lamine Ould El Fadel, the Hakem of the Moughataa of Mederdra, Mr. Isselmou Ould Salem, the head of the Borough of Tiguint, Mr. Mohamed Vall Ould Karachi, the Mayor of its Municipality, and the MPs of this Moughataa.
The inhabitants of the Moughataa of Mederdra reserved a warm and spontaneous popular welcome to His Excellency, the President of the Republic, through which they expressed their appreciation of the achievements accomplished in the country in general, and particularly for the benefit of the different municipalities of this moughataa.
Citizens gathered in long human chains along the path of the presidential procession, brandishing portraits of His Excellency, and chanting slogans highlighting the achievements made over the last four years.
