Prime Minister Oversees the Inauguration of a Series of Development Projects in Dakhlet Nouadhibou

On Tuesday 19 December in Nouadhibou, the Prime Minister Mohamed Ould Bilal Messaoud oversaw  the inauguration and launch of a series of development projects in the province, as part of the celebrations commemorating the 63rd anniversary of National Independence Day.

The projects inaugurated today include the new headquarters of the National Office for the Health Inspection of Fishing and Fish Farming Products, funded by Mauritanian-Japanese cooperation, the power plant in the Souweyssia region, located 60 km south of Nouadhibou, the fish factory in the autonomous port of Nouadhibou, the private ship company Atlantic Naval Company, as well as the tourist village of Kabbano Bay, owned by a group of private businessmen and national operators in the tourism field.

The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone for the start of works on the urban road network and the entrance to the city of Nouadhibou, funded by the Nouadhibou Free Zone, and the expansion of the port of Gulf of Raha and the runway of Nouadhibou International Airport.
