On Monday 18 December, in Brussels, H.E Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Ibrahim Khalil presented his credentials to the President of the European Council, Mr. Charles Michel, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Full Power of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to the European Union.
During his interview, the Ambassador briefed the President of the European Union on the progress made by Mauritania in various fields since the accession to power of the President of the Republic, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani.
In this regard, H.E the Ambassador talked to the President of the European Union about the role of our country in the fight against terrorism in the Sahel region and illegal immigration, and the great efforts it is making for security and stability in this space, which is currently going through a difficult period.
