On 13 December, on the sidelines of his participation in the High–Level Event commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, in Geneva, Mr. Cheikh Ahmedou Ould Ahmed Salem Ould Sidi, the Commissioner for Human Rights, Humanitarian Action, and Relations with Civil Society, met with the Moroccan delegation to the event led by Mr. Abdellatif Wehbi, Minister of Justice.
The two sides reviewed the most important achievements and progress recorded in the field of human rights in the two countries and ways to strengthen the strong bilateral cooperative relations.
They also stressed the need to promote these relations at all levels to serve their common objectives and develop laws in the service of human rights in both countries.
The Moroccan minister praised the Mauritanian experience in the field of human rights, expressing his country’s availability to cooperate with Mauritania and support its efforts.
