Minister of Equipment and Transport Meets UAE Minister of Economy

The Minister of Equipment and Transport, Mr. Mohamed Ali Ould Sid Mohamed, met on Monday morning with the UAE Minister of Economy, Mr. Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, who holds the position of President of the General Civil Aviation Authority of the United Arab Emirates, on the sidelines of the Third Conference on Aviation and Alternative Fuels held in Dubai from 20 to 24 November 2023.

During their meeting, the two ministers discussed the need to activate joint cooperation between the two countries in the field of civil aviation so that they can achieve positive results in exchanging experiences and expertise and unifying positions in international forums to serve the interests of the two brotherly countries.

They agreed on the importance of exchanging visits between officials of the two countries within the framework of holding interactive working meetings in this regard.

The two ministers also agreed to work together to expedite the directive to open direct air routes between the two countries to be operated by Mauritanian and Emirati national carriers in accordance with the contents of the air transport agreement linking the two countries.
