Food Safety Commissioner Returns to Nouakchott

On 27 October, Ms. Fatimetou Mint Khattry, the Commissioner for Food Security, returned to Nouakchott from Rome (Italy) after participating in the meetings of the FAO food security committee held this week in Rome.

On the sidelines of her participation in the meetings, Mint Khattry met the Vice President of the International Agricultural Development Fund, with whom she discussed cooperation relations between Mauritania and this international organization and the means to develop and strengthen them, particularly in the food security area.

She also met with the Director of Sub-Saharan Africa at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, during which they discussed the existing cooperative relations between the two friendly countries and ways to develop them, particularly in the food security field.
