President of Republic Offers condolences to Moroccan King

The President of the Republic, H.E. Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, sent Saturday a condolence message to the King of Morocco, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, following the victims of the earthquake that struck Friday many Moroccan cities:

” Majesty, “Majesty Mohammed VI, King of the Kingdom of Morocco, Dear brother,

I learned with great sadness and sorrow the news of the violent earthquake that struck several Moroccan cities last night.

On this painful occasion, I extend my sincere condolences, to Your Majesty, the Moroccan government and people, and the victims’ families, imploring Allah to bless the martyrs with his mercy, receive them in his paradise, and grant speedy recovery to the injured.

I affirm to you the compassion and solidarity of the Mauritanian government and people who accompany you in this painful ordeal, praying to Allah, the Almighty, to protect Morocco from all evil and misfortune, and bless it with security and tranquility.
