President of Republic Condoles Emir of State of Qatar on Death of Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Thani

On 23 July, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh Al-Ghazwani, the President of the Republic, addressed a message of condolences to His Highness Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar, following the passing of his uncle, the late Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Abdullah bin Jassim Al-Thani:

 This came in a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, which reads as follows: 

“His Highness, Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, I have received with great sorrow and sadness the news of the passing of your honorable uncle, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Abdullah bin Jassim Al-Thani. 

On the occasion of this painful tragedy, I extend to you on my own behalf and in the name of the Mauritanian government and people my sincere condolences and sincere sympathy, praying Allah the Almighty to have His Mercy the deceased, welcome him to His vast Paradise, and comfort you and the honorable ruling family in these difficult times. 

We belong to Allah, and to Him we shall return.
