Minister of Employment Receives UNICEF Representative

On 21 July, in Nouakchott, Ms. Zeinebou Mint H’Mednah, the Minister of Employment and Vocational Training, received Mr. Marc Lucet, the Representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to Mauritania. 

The meeting was an opportunity to discuss the modalities of cooperation between the Ministry and this UN body, particularly the implementation of training programs on life skills and the professional integration of young people. 

The UNICEF representative reviewed the system of social protection and young people integration set up by his institution through the Safia Center in the Moughataa of Dar Naim. 

He pointed out that the center provides lifelong skills training and vocational training to girls dropping out of the school system and unemployed women.
