El Islah Party Concludes First Congress

The El Islah party concluded, Sunday evening, its first congress, held in Nouakchott under the slogan: “People First”.

In a speech on the occasion, the chairman of the party, Mr. Mohamed Ould Talebna, indicated that El Islah had worked in a consensual manner to elect its bodies and strengthen its method based on consultation on all the issues in successful practice of democracy, stressing that all essential aspects have been studied to ensure a positive, mature, and balanced work.

He added that the consultation adopted by the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazwani is the essential tool to join the ranks of developed Nations.

The closing ceremony was attended by several leaders of political parties and civil society organizations.
