Interior Ministry Receives Medical aid

The secretary general of the Ministry of the Interior and Decentralization, Mr. Mohamed Ould Sweydatt, received today, Thursday, a batch of masks and disinfectants, donated by the UN Office on Drugs and Crime.

In a speech on the occasion, the secretary general of the ministry thanked the UN Office on Drugs and Crime and through it all UN programs and partners for their permanent cooperation with Mauritania, particularly in such circumstances where COVID-19 is causing problems across the world.

He added that this aid will undoubtedly support the national efforts to limit the effects of the second wave of the pandemic.

On his part, the representative of UN Office on Drugs and Crime, Mr. Louis Nkopipie, pointed out this aid aims at reinforcing the Mauritanian government’s efforts to alleviate the repercussions of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
