Health Ministry Receives Medical Equipment from US Embassy

The Prime Minister’s adviser in charge of social affairs, Mr. Ba Hampaté, received, Saturday in Nouakchott, a medical donation from the US embassy in Nouakchott.

Submitted by the US Ambassador to Mauritania, His Excellency Mr. Michael Dodman, the donation consists of a considerable quantity of protection masks, gloves, gowns, and other sanitary equipment.

In his speech on the occasion, the Prime Minister’s adviser thanked the US ambassador for the incessant support that his country provides to Mauritania, Particularly in this trying period of COVID-19.
He added that thanks to this donation, the national health staff would be more equipped to deal with the second wave of COVID-19.

On his part, the US ambassador said that he is pleased to hand over this donation to reinforce the Mauritanian efforts aiming at alleviating the effects of the pandemic.
