Inter-Ministerial Committee in Charge of Monitoring COVID-19 Calls On Mauritanians To Participate in Raising Awareness About Pandemic Danger

Prime Minister Mohamed Ould Bilal chaired, on Wednesday, the meeting of the inter-ministerial committee in charge of monitoring COVID-19.

During the meeting, the committee was briefed on the status of the pandemic, the development of positive cases, the number of hospitalized patients and deaths during the past week.

The committee also addressed the situation of those locked down and adopted measures to prevent the spread of the virus between them.

The committee also welcomed the evolution in the degree of compliance with preventive measures by citizens this time as compared to the previous period.
It called on them to continue raising awareness so that all participate in the action to protect themselves from the virus.

The committee decided to maintain the decisions already made as they are until further notice and to remain in permanent meeting until the end of the week to follow up on the results of the action on the ground.
