The President of the Republic gave us a very good reading of what is happening in the Sahel (High Representative of the Coalition for the Sahel)

“We spoke at length with the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ghazouani, who gave us a very good reading of what is happening in this space (Sahel), and of what must be considered both in the management of security issues and strategies to be put in place ”.
This is what Mr. Djimé Adoum, High Representative of the Coalition for the Sahel, currently visiting Mauritania, said during a press conference.
He added the President of the Republic also briefed him on “the courses of action in this new dynamic and how the G5 Sahel States can exchange and coordinate more”.
In addition, the High Representative indicated that he had had a meeting with the National Committee for monitoring the roadmap, which brings together government representatives and technical and financial partners.
Regarding his meeting with the committee in charge of the Mauritania roadmap, Adoum called its work “encouraging”.
During his visit to Mauritania, the High Representative of the Coalition for the Sahel is accompanied by a delegation including the Coordinator (EU) of the Partnership for the Security and Stability of the Sahel, Mr. Piere Boissy.
