Government Spokesperson: The government’s achievements are a practical embodiment of the President’s program
The Minister of Culture, Arts, Communication, and Relations with Parliament, the government spokesperson, Mr. El Housseine Ould Medou, affirmed that the government’s achievements represent a practical embodiment of the program of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, “My Ambition for the Nation,” with its five pillars. He explained that the assessment was not based on ministerial sectors but rather according to these pillars and the degrees of progress within them, whether during the year 2025 or since 2019, the year the Mauritanian people endorsed His Excellency the President of the Republic.
He explained, in response to a question on this subject, while commenting on the outcomes of the Cabinet meeting this evening, Wednesday, at the press hall of the Mauritanian News Agency headquarters in Nouakchott, alongside the Minister of Justice Mr. Mohamed Ould Sweydatt, that this outcome constitutes a fundamental benchmark for coordination and integration between the executive and legislative institutions, whether in the areas of follow-up, monitoring, and accountability, or in implementing programs committed to by the government.
For his part, the Minister of Justice, commented on the statement regarding the results of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary in its last session, saying that the session was dedicated to evaluating the state of judicial work in terms of human resources and structures.
He explained that His Excellency the President of the Republic affirmed, during the opening of the session, that the judiciary is not merely a body for resolving disputes, but it is a guarantee of rights and a measure of justice. Its effectiveness, independence, and integrity are essential conditions for the establishment of a state of institutions, calling for intensified efforts to remove obstacles that limit its effectiveness and the achievement of timely justice.
