The Secretary-General of the King Salman International Academy for the Arabic Language, Prof. Dr. Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Washmi, pointed out that the Academy is honored by the permanent support it finds from the Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Salman Academy for the Arabic Language, for all its programs and activities, pointing out that this award is in line with the efforts of the Kingdom and its care for the Arabic language, and reflects the Academy’s keenness, appreciation and encouragement for the efforts of workers in the fields of the Arabic language, including individuals, scholars and institutions, and contributes to enhancing the status of the Arabic language, and activating its role Locally and globally, and the consolidation of the Arabic language and identity that express linguistic depth, historical and cultural richness, and effective civilizational extension, stressing that the award is an opportunity to honor specialists with individual and institutional achievements, and highlight their work and initiatives in serving and disseminating the Arabic language.

First: In the branch of teaching and learning Arabic:
– In the category of individuals: The award was awarded to Dr. Lin Liu, from the People’s Republic of China, for the excellence of his contributions to the service of the Arabic language, the diversity of his participation scientifically, academically and educationally, and his creativity in promoting the teaching of Arabic in China, in addition to assuming a number of important positions in this field, and continuing during his career to develop his performance, and his continuous efforts in writing curricula and books, and his participation and training in seminars and conferences, where his efforts left a distinctive imprint in teaching Arabic speakers a second language from the people of China, and in Develop education methodologies there, and build successful partnerships.
– In the category of institutions: The award was awarded to (King Saud University Publishing House) for the excellence of its contributions to the service of the Arabic language, where it has presented over decades various books and scientific research in the field of the Arabic language, between translated studies, scientific research, and educational courses, and had a leading role in enriching the Arabic library in applied linguistics and teaching the Arabic language.
* Second: In the branch of computing the Arabic language and its service with modern technologies:
– In the category of individuals: The award was awarded to Prof. Dr. Abdul Mohsen bin Obaid bin Abdullah Al-Thubaiti from Saudi Arabia, for the excellence of his contributions to the service of the Arabic language, through his participation in many scientific projects, including: the project of automatic classification of Arabic texts, and the Arabic blog project of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, in addition to publishing more than (40) solid scientific research in the field of Arabic language processing, and providing a number of training courses in the design and analysis of computerized linguistic codes, and his participation in the design of Many technical products, such as: a diver system for processing linguistic codes, and an accompanying system for extracting verbal syndromes and the Arabic problem.
– In the Institutions category: The award was awarded to (Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority – SDAIA) for distinguishing its contributions to the service of the Arabic language by developing completely huge linguistic models in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to meet the national generative artificial intelligence needs, achieving global leadership in Arabic language technologies, building models and training them on comprehensive data to serve the needs of the Arabic language and local culture, and providing a solid sovereign infrastructure to develop these models locally and achieve the needs of technical sovereignty.
Third: In the branch of Arabic language research and scientific studies:
– In the category of individuals: the award was awarded to Prof. Dr. Abdullah bin Salim bin Ahmed Al-Rasheed from Saudi Arabia, for the excellence of his contributions to the service of the Arabic language, where he published over a quarter of a century various books and scientific research on important topics, such as: the language of the Arab child in the media, the endearment of Arabic and its sciences to all people, facilitating its study and learning, addressing colloquial and eloquent issues in Arabic with balance and mediation, and scientific research methods, especially in Arabic and its sciences, while solving realistic problems, and providing contemporary practical experiences. In addition to many volunteer works that serve Arabic and its students, and call for learning, teaching and mastering it for everyone who wishes, all in a very high style, and eloquent language, and won a number of awards because of these researches.
– In the category of institutions: The award was awarded to the Institute of Arab Manuscripts for the excellence of its contributions to the service of the Arabic language by collecting Arabic manuscripts from all over the world, then classifying and preserving them with modern scientific methods, in addition to traditional methods, and then making them available to everyone wishing to achieve or see them, and his tireless work continued over eighty years, and he held courses, and founded specialized technical study programs that grant scientific degrees to qualify researchers in the field of scientific investigation of manuscripts, and his work was characterized by institutionalization, mastery, and development in line with contemporary technologies.
* Fourth: In the branch of spreading linguistic awareness and creating linguistic community initiatives:
– In the category of individuals: The award was awarded to Prof. Dr. Saleh Belaid from Algeria, for the excellence of his contributions to the service of the Arabic language by his scientific research to enhance the linguistic identity, and what he wrote in the history of Arabic and the study of its issues, such as Arabization, terminology, identity, and civilization, in addition to his efforts during his presidency of the Supreme Council for the Arabic Language in Algeria, where he worked on developing language policies, integrating the Arabic language more effectively into all aspects of education, encouraging scientific research in the fields of language and literature, and has important participations. In many international conferences and scientific seminars.
– In the category of institutions: The award was awarded to the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for the excellence of its contributions to the service of the Arabic language, by providing qualitative scientific initiatives, including many lectures, scientific studies, panel discussions related to translation, and various other issues in the Arabic language, and the center was interested in reviving events that contribute to raising awareness of the role and importance of the Arabic language, while trying to break from the traditional by establishing an initiative (Wasm) on the X platform, to increase linguistic awareness among the Arab public, and to publish lectures and panel discussions, organized by In social media, the Center was also interested in creating a database of relevant authorities, specialists, and those interested in the Arabic language and its issues, with the aim of disseminating knowledge in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
