Foreign Minister Receives Russian Ambassador

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, received on Monday, at his office in Nouakchott, His Excellency Mr. Aleksei Malenko, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Mauritania.

The meeting addressed bilateral cooperation between Mauritania and Russia, as well as ways to strengthen and develop these ties in various fields, in a manner that serves the mutual interests of both countries.

The two sides also exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual interest.
