President Receives German Ambassador’s Credentials

On 29 October, in Nouakchott, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, received the credentials of H. Mr. Florian Reindel, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

After the presentation of credentials, the President of the Republic granted the German diplomat an audience in the presence of Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad.

In a statement to the Mauritanian news agency, the German Ambassador indicated that the meeting with the President of the Republic was an opportunity for him to convey the greetings and gratitude of the German people to the Mauritanian people. He added that he was eager to express to His Excellency his commitment and readiness to pursue cooperation between his country and Mauritania and his desire to consolidate and expand the fruitful partnership between the two countries, thanking Mauritania in the same context for the hospitality and welcome extended to him upon his arrival in the country.
